Product Description
The Venom Hybrid 4-Inch Hybrid 3-Step Diamond Polishing Pads were developed during a major shift in the countertop industry, when several hard-surface materials became popular at the same time. While granite and traditional natural stone had already been widely polished for years, quartz, quartzite, porcelain, and Dekton entered the market together and required a more adaptable polishing solution.
Most diamond polishing pads are capable of working on many materials. The difference lies in what a pad is optimized for. Venom Hybrid pads were engineered specifically to perform consistently on these newer, harder, and more heat-sensitive materials, while still performing well on granite and other natural stone.
Although the Venom Hybrid system includes five total pads, it is sold and recognized as a 3-step polishing system because it is built around Steps 1, 2, and 3, which form the core polishing process. A coarse pad is available when additional stock removal is needed, and a high-gloss pad can be used as an optional final step for materials that benefit from extra clarity and shine.
Venom Hybrid uses a true hybrid resin diamond formulation. The term hybrid refers to both the resin structure and the pad’s versatility. These pads can be used wet or dry, and they are capable of performing across a wide range of materials. When running dry, many fabricators find that using a light mist of water improves finish quality and pad life.
Venom Hybrid pads gained widespread recognition around 2016–2017, as fabricators shared real-world results and techniques across social media and industry forums. While they were not the first 3-step pads ever produced, they became closely associated with the 3-step polishing process due to consistent performance and strong community adoption.
Pad System Layout
Coarse → Step 1 → Step 2 → Step 3 → High Gloss
(Steps 1–3 define the system. Coarse and High Gloss are optional, material-dependent.)

Edge Use vs. Surface Use (Important Note)
Venom Hybrid polishing pads were designed and intended primarily for edge polishing applications. Over the years, many experienced fabricators have also used these pads for light surface scratch refinement on countertops in certain situations.
This crossover use is not because the pads were designed for surface repair, but rather due to the quality of the hybrid resin and the skill level of the fabricator. Results can vary depending on material type, scratch depth, RPM, water control, and technique. Surface use is therefore considered technique-dependent, not a guaranteed or intended application.
Specifications
-

-
Machine Compatibility: Hand grinders, edge machines, line polishers
RPM & Usage Notes
Venom Hybrid polishing pads are designed to perform across a wide range of operating conditions depending on fabricator preference and technique.
-
Recommended average operating speed: ~3,500 RPM
-
Common real-world operating range: approximately 2,000–5,000 RPM
-
Maximum recommended speed: Do not exceed 5,000 RPM
Different fabricators use different RPM speeds, pressure, and water levels to achieve desired results. One of the advantages of hybrid resin technology is its ability to respond well to these variations.
For example, when using the High Gloss pad after Step 3, some fabricators reduce water flow—sometimes using very little water—to achieve additional clarity and shine. These techniques vary by material and experience level.
Rather than prescribing a single method, Venom Hybrid pads are designed to be adaptable. Over the years, thousands of techniques have been shared organically within the fabrication community through social media groups, forums, and industry discussions.

The last Quartz pads you’ll ever need
These are the only pads I use for Quartz anymore. They leave a great finish and last a very long time. The pattern on these are perfect. Not great for dry use but will work in a pinch.

venom spider pads
we love the pads, but the hybrid ones are the best, but spider pads are less expensive.

Great pads
Haven’t had them long so i can’t speak for wear, but they work great. Well worth the extra couple bucks over the cheaper ones.
