The PE-30 Crescent / Bookend Diamond Router Bit – Position 1 is a sintered metal-bond, continuous rim diamond router bit engineered for shaping premium Crescent-style (Bookend) profiles on quartz, granite, and quartzite.
What “PE-30” Means
• PE = Crescent / Bookend profile
• 30 = 30 mm profile height
• 30 mm equals 1.25 inches
The PE-30 profile creates a smooth, curved “crescent” shape that transitions beautifully into the top surface — a refined, architectural edge look.
What “Position 1” Means
Position 1 is the coarse shaping step, using approximately 30/40 grit diamonds.
This stage:
• Removes stock aggressively
• Cuts the full PE Crescent / Bookend curve
• Preps the profile for Position 2 and later polishing
The sintered metal bond contains high diamond concentration, exposing fresh diamonds continuously for maximum lifespan, especially on quartzite.
The continuous rim ensures smooth contact, reduced vibration, and cleaner shaping with fewer chips.
BOLT / THREAD SYSTEM (IMPORTANT)
Stone router bits do not use a half-inch arbor.

Each PE-30 bit includes two bolts, both with 10 mm shafts, but different thread sizes:
• 10 mm shaft with 10 mm thread
• 10 mm shaft with 8 mm thread
This ensures compatibility with nearly all portable stone routers used in fabrication shops.
Both bolts are included with every router bit.
