The L-20 Cove Shape Diamond Router Bit – Position 1 is a sintered metal-bond, continuous rim profiling bit engineered to cut a 20 mm cove (L-shape) on granite, quartz, and quartzite.
L-shape bits create the concave lower curve commonly used in premium decorative edges, laminated edges, island edges, and detailed architectural stonework.
What “L-20” Means
L stands for the cove profile shape.
20 refers to the cove height.
20 mm equals approximately 3/4 inches.
The L-20 produces a medium cove, used in higher-end custom edge builds and thicker laminated edge designs.
What “Position 1” Means
Position 1 is the coarse shaping stage, using approximately 30/40 grit diamonds.
This stage removes heavier stock, forms the complete 20 mm cove radius, and prepares the shape for the resin-bond finishing stages.
The sintered metal bond maintains a high diamond concentration for long life on dense stones such as quartzite.
The continuous rim provides smoother cutting with fewer chips along the cove transition.
BOLT AND THREAD SYSTEM (IMPORTANT)
Stone router bits do not use a 1/2-inch arbor.
The correct arbor size is 10 mm.
Each L-20 bit includes two bolts, both with 10 mm shafts:
Bolt one: 10 mm shaft with 10 mm thread
Bolt two: 10 mm shaft with 8 mm thread
This dual-thread bolt system fits nearly every portable stone router in fabrication shops.
