The L-15 Cove Shape Diamond Router Bit – Position 1 is a sintered metal-bond, continuous rim router bit engineered to cut a 15 mm cove (L-shape) recessed profile on granite, quartz, and quartzite.
This bit forms the lower concave curve used in decorative edge designs, laminated edges, island work, custom builds, and classical stone edge profiles.
What “L-15” Means
L stands for the cove profile shape.
15 is the cove height in millimeters.
15 mm equals approximately 5/8 inches.
The L-15 is ideal for creating a small-to-medium cove used in traditional and premium laminated stone edge details.
What “Position 1” Means
Position 1 is the coarse diamond shaping stage, using approximately 30/40 grit diamonds.
This stage removes stock rapidly, forms the full cove profile, and prepares the edge for Position 2 and resin shaping stages.
The sintered metal bond carries high diamond concentration for long life, especially on quartzite.
The continuous rim design helps produce a smoother cove with fewer chips along the curve.
BOLT AND THREAD SYSTEM (IMPORTANT)
Stone router bits do not use a 1/2-inch arbor.
The actual stone router arbor size is 10 mm.
Each L-15 bit includes two bolts, both with 10 mm shafts:
Bolt one: 10 mm shaft with 10 mm thread
Bolt two: 10 mm shaft with 8 mm thread
This dual-thread bolt system fits nearly every portable stone router.
