The 5 Inch Venom Rush Diamond Snail-Lock Flat Polishing Wheels are designed for polishing flat stone edges, including straight edges and bevels, on quartz, quartzite and granite using inline and backsplash polishing machines. These wheels deliver strong cutting ability in the early stages, clean refinement in the mid stages and outstanding clarity and gloss in the finishing stages.
Unlike Velcro polishing pads, these are true Snail-Lock polishing wheels with a permanently attached backer. Because the backer cannot separate from the wheel, these are the preferred choice for many fabrication shops running vertical-style inline polishing machines, where Velcro systems can loosen or fall off due to gravity and wheel orientation. The Snail-Lock system guarantees secure locking, accurate alignment and uninterrupted polishing throughout the production run.
Venom Rush Snail-Lock wheels are available in Coarse 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000, 2000, 3000 and High Gloss.
Most shops achieve excellent results using 100, 200, 500 and 1000, with 2000 added when extra clarity is needed. When a higher sheen is required, shops continue to 3000, and for maximum reflection and gloss, High Gloss completes the sequence.
Shops with limited head machines often follow alternative grit progressions such as:
50 → 100 → 200 → 500 → 1000 → 3000, or
100 → 200 → 500 → 1000 → 2000.
This adaptability is one of the reasons Venom Rush wheels perform so well across a wide range of inline machines.
Many fabricators also use individual Venom Rush wheels to supplement the Venom 3 Step Diamond Velcro Polishing Pads, especially on very hard quartzite or when a tighter clarity is desired on quartz.
